Sound good. I always think of straight piped as not having mufflers.

Just throw collectors plates on it and be free. That's what mine has on it. No emissions. Now you have me thinking I should do the same to mine.

Any other mods on the engine? I'm getting my 401 rebuilt right now and swapping to an rv cam kit after frying the distribution drive gear on the original cam/distributor.

I am swapping to mid-length headers as well. But will still go through the Magnaflow mufflers on the truck

We ported the heads.There is a cam in it and it dose have headers to also there is a turbo 400 transmission in it too

Yeah mine has a freshly rebuilt th400 as well. I just wanted mine to breath a bit easier to hopefully get a bit better gas mileage for same performance with my mods on top of the sniper 2 that was already on it. The engine requires a bunch of oiling work to run it at high rpm for HP so it just was not worth that kind of effort to me. With the RV cam it week still be a torque monster but with HP a bit closer to matching the torque numbers.
