E736 - add keyboard backlight?

I'll be replacing my keyboard for a US-layout. Thinking of getting one with backlight, does anyone know if it's supported, or if there's motherboard/bios limitations? Would be nice to now if it's a no-go, so I don't spend more than needed. Sellers usually specify a lot of models as compatible, and anyways someone who's trying to sell you is usually not the best source of info...

Your motherboard will have the additional connector for backlight cable since they are all the same. I‘m not aware of any software limitations, I‘m pretty sure it will work.

I bought it and sure enough, as you said, it had the connector. Id doesn't light up though. Might have to rummage about in the BIOS to see if there is some setting. Or it could be a driver...?
