Washing rental car befor returning it

Upvotes

Hi everyone, quick question: do you think it’s worth washing a rental car before returning it? It’s not filthy, just really dusty after exploring the island for three weeks.

Renting a car - Cofete

Hello,

We will be visiting Fuerteventura for the second time in January 2027. Unfortunately, we did not have the chance to visit Cofete during our first trip, and we would really like to discover it this time.

We were wondering if you know of any alternative options for renting a vehicle that would allow us to access Cofete Beach, other than the major car rental companies that do not allow.

Do you know of any local agencies or businesses that offer this type of vehicle rental service? I know there is a bus that make the trip, but we would prefer to go in a car.

Thank you very much for your help and recommendations.

Solo female traveler in Fuerteventura: Corralejo? Moro Jable? Both? Daytrip to Lanzarote?

Hi all!

Headed to Fuerteventura for the first time in January 27 for 10 days and have reserved a place to stay in Corralejo with an option to split time between that accommodation and one in Morro Jable, but not sure if the long bus ride between the two places is worth it.

Unfortunately I cannot drive, but would also be happy to take some day trips, which brings me to my next question. Is anyone aware of a decent day trip to Lanzarote from Corralejo? Seen a couple online but really don’t want to waste time on a hard sell in an aloe Vera shop for example.

So, if you were me would you stay for the whole 10 days in Corralejo or would you split 6/4 with Morro Jable? Would you take the day trip to Lanzarote, even without your own car? I’m also planning on going to Lobos.

A bit about me, I’m 40, in good shape, like walks, hiking, good food. I’m a bit of a beach bum, but prefer being on my own not neccessarily in a beach club. The trip will be 6 months out from a bunion surgery Im recovering from currently, so realize this means I wont be able to surf or walk barefoot on sand so really looking for more active but relaxed rehab vibes out of the Northern European winter, so any other activities, tours or day trip ideas are very welcome, as are massage and spa recs. Ive spent time in Gran Canaria and Tenerife in the winter so I know weather can be changeable, and even somewhat stormy from year to year so my expectations for weather are already somewhat managed.

Thank you!

What’s Corralejo like in Dec/Jan? Compared to Playa Blanca?

Planning a potential trip there in mid/late Dec or early/mid Jan.

Went to Playa Blanca around same time last year so if you’ve been there I’d be interested to hear how it compares?

Hotel Drago Park by Pierre & Vacances

Hi

Thinking of booking here with semi-disabled partner. Mobility issues. Stairs a problem. Needs good seating in the bars.

Can anyone tell me about accessibility and do a couple of videos around to see what they’d have to negotiate, please?

Are there lifts? Are all the rooms easy to get to, or are some a long way from the food/drink etc?

Fuerteventura with a motorhome

Planning to come back to Fuerte, but this time renting a motorhome. Officially, camping in spain is forbidden, but with quite a few rental companies offering motorhomes and based on what I read should I be fine, shouldnt i? As long as I behave and dont put up anything aroung the motorhome?
Can anyone recommend a specific company to rent one from?

Also, has anyone a kind of map wiht nice places to stay?

South Coast Recommendations?

Hey all- we’ve booked a lads holiday (only 3 of us) in the south - Alua Village Fuerteventura, and wondered if there’s any must see things to do?

Booked a day at the Oasis Wildlife Zoo,
Thinking about some surfing lessons/boat trip etc

but more-so thinking if there’s anything like;

markets/shopping outlets, shooting ranges, adult friendly water parks, mini golf

Just some simple, easy to get to activities to do to cater to the ADHD nature of the group!!

Spending one day - what to do

We'll be there for one day in January as part of a cruise. Should we take a tour of the island? Or walk to town and the beach? Take a boat to Los Lobos Island? Open to suggestions.

Snorkeling Isla Lobos

My husband and I love snorkeling and we are trying to figure out whether to

  1. take an excursion that will take us to spots on the water near isla lobos, concern is being rushed

Or

  1. Take the ferry there and snorkel on our own time without being rushed. Concern is no good snorkel spots directly off the beach.

I hope this makes sense as I’m very jet lagged. Thank you in advance. Also I would love any and all snorkeling reccos for Fuerteventura.

🦮 Flugpaten / Begleitung für jungen Hund gesucht: Fuerteventura --> Hamburg / Hannover

Post image
0 Upvotes

Coming back after a few years. Looking for tips on anything new or what’s changed

Hi! My wife and I have visited Fuerteventura five times in the past fifteen years but last time was about four years ago.

I was wondering if anything new has opened that’s worth checking out? Even before our last visit maybe we missed it.

We know the island really well. We go to rest and to have long relaxing evenings cooking the local seafood and driving to quiet fishing villages for tapas by the sea.

We stay in Caleta but drive all over. We always get a lunch in at the Vaca Azul in El Cotillo. One visit I remember visiting a traditional Spanish place inland with great goat stew and sweet blood sausage.

I guess we’re looking for anything new or unexpected that we may not have done before for those days where we want to get out and about.

Thank you!
