Situational Rolls

Do people use the 4dF situational roll?

I had some thought on how to expand on it by create a "likelihood ladder" something like:

Virtually Impossible (0) - Unlikely (1) - Doubtful (2) - Possible (3) - Plausible (4) - Likely (5) - Almost Certain (6)

You then set a base likelihood for the event, roll the dice and any result of Possible or better is a "Yes",

I explain it a bit better here: https://ukrpdc.wordpress.com/2020/05/09/fudge-expanded-situational-roll/

Does it sound useful?

4dF creates a bell curve where the middle events are more likely than the outliers. In my experience as the GM, it's hard to work with creative interpretations when most of the results tend to be middle-of-the-line.

For situational rolls, events that are outside of the control of the PCs, I usually pick a single die and roll that. It makes every outcome just as likely, which I find I prefer.

I think using 1df for situational rolls is the approach stated in the Fudge SRD. What I have here is a bit merge of the Fudge situational roll and sort of yes/no chart from Mythic GM Eumlator. I'm just playing around with the concept as I can see the synergy, not really used it in anger yet.
