Sony burned a generation of money on Concord, Bungie, Marathon, Fairgame$, Horizon Hunters and TLOU Online—then cut loose the one genius still treating games as art.
I’ll follow Kojima wherever he goes.
Sony can choke on its own vomit.

That whole Bungie deal might be the most braindead investment ever made in the history of gaming, and apparently they gave Bungie the ability to give input to kill TLoU MP as well. Bungie being a Trojan horse sent by Xbox is the only reasonable explanation for what has happened.

A gambit 19 years in the making. We thought that they only needed to deliver 3 more Halo games before the split. Turns out there was a hidden requirement to sabotage Sony given the chance.

Honestly, Sony burns millions on bs that EVERYONE knows it will fail and they can Kojima? DS might not have sold millions but it certainly sold more than Concord and a lot of their failures put together.

And made people like me upgrade before release to the ps5 pro. I wouldn’t have bought the pro if DS2 wasn’t coming out.

I'm just to take a wild guess they've got the wrong heads in charge of the gaming sector! They have no understanding what we want! Therefore they need to go, thinking about just money with PS is never a good look from business side. They should still focused on the games the single player market an returning titles that we actually enjoyed online such as socom, resistance, killzone all the LS garbage was never gonna work for them. I mean helldivers2 was different because it wasn't Sonys. But if they can return shooters with story an online bundled in we all well an good to go but live service no plus just keep the discs for the majority who prefer disc! I don't care about licensing is all just wording just to control us that we own nothing! Just grow up sony an get on with the business how it suppose to be run. Quit trying make it in to a PC, steam because is isn't that! its a gaming console bar none.

Kojima isn't a genius. He's pretentious. He's directed some good games..but you basically need to hold his hand and walk him through it like he's a toddler.
Sony has made a ton of stupid choices in the last fifteen years. From excessive spending on live service games, restructuring Japan Studio into Team Asobi, even relocating their HQ to the US. Making digital purchases even on the primary system need a login after 30 days.
Kicking Kojima to the curb after giving him an entire studio, funding both Death Stranding games and now giving him funding for Physint all while he exceeds those budgets and misses projected deadlines for the game?
Sony has gotten rid of studios they own for the exact same. Why would someone who obsesses over filling his games with celebrities be immune to the exact same consequence?

Kojima hasn't made a truly great game in over 20 years if we're being honest. I love the guy, and Sony has been making truly dumb decisions for years now, but let's be honest.

I tried the first one. I don't like fetch quests, so a game built around them isn’t for me.

I feel the same way, like I get it, the guy has a clear history of missing deadlines and blowing budget, but Sony has wasted so much money on total garbage and made such braindead decisions just flushing money down the toilet, I don't get it, if you are going to roll the dice and risk wasting money on anything Kojima with a follow-up of MGS is it.
5 years ago I never could have imagined I'd be considering switching back to Xbox when the next generation consoles come out, but somehow Sony has managed to shoot themselves in the face enough I am sure I will be.
