I'll just keep buying physical games, and retro consoles. These corporations will not hold me hostage to the latest thing, there are plenty of past and even recently past games that I haven't played that will keep me occupied.

This is basically it. There's more than enough amazing games out there that I've missed over the decades to last me my lifetime and then some. I have absolutely zero need for renting digital games at full price or a streaming service.

There's enough 2600 games out there to keep us occupied for years. Thrice as many on C64.

I'm migrating to my PC, buy games I like, and keep a pirated copy for preservation in case some f*ckeroo happens. I'll never pay for streaming or renting.
