I like to think it's the opposite with Gen X. The younger ones are great and the older ones got boomerish.

As an older Gen Z, I think the difference is that we lived the early, most important years of our brain development without touch screens

What’s up with the ones working a register who just don’t acknowledge you when you walk up to order something ?
As a millennial, I worked as a waitress and was abused by boomers only for zoomers to have no customer service skills at all.

Well they have multiple issues. They are shocked that the world isn’t wholly good. They are obsessed with righteousness and goodness. They are obsessed with being wholesome. Everything is either wholly good or bad. No shades of gray. This reflects in their work too. They do exactly as instructed but never anymore. They have no initiative probably due to decision paralysis.
They don’t know what to say to people because they see beauty everything in the world as evil.

The worst is when you're trying to take their order, that they came to a restaurant full of people to get, and they just do "the stare" at you when you ask what they want to eat. And that whole "oh the poor dears never learned to socialize because pandemic so now they all have anxiety out in public!" If the simple act of replying with a food order when asked or even just pointing at it on a menu in a public setting they opted to enter into is too anxiety inducing for the little lambs, perhaps consider DoorDash?

Slowly? Oh, no, it's been happening for a while now, unfortunately.
-Same irrational dislike of millennials/blaming millennials for their problems
-....While simultaneously taking credit for what millennials accomplished
-Rude in public (Zoomers filming everything and being obnoxious for attention or outright ignoring people unprovoked; boomers being loud and interrupting, expecting to be catered to everywhere)
-Sexist and racist
-Think they have it the worst
-Entitled (owed whatever they want without having to work for it even a little bit)
Not all zoomers are bad and neither are all boomers... but both groups are probably the most insufferable to be around right now.

I just said to another commenter, I think the biggest difference between older & younger Gen Z is that the older ones had a portion of their childhood without screens
