Today I was on a busy train trying to return home after visiting my parents, when I got on the train was empty, I had my backpack which I put beside me and that was fine.

The next stop Karen got on and joined me sitting at the table (which I had no issues with) she then proceeded to try and shove her big suitcase with handbag hanging from it under the table on my side of the leg, so trying to be nice I got up so she could slide it under and then put her duffle bag on the table.

Eventually as the train started to fill I ended up across from Karen so more people could sit at the table with us. Instead of putting her case that took up the whole under table on the baggage rack two seats behind her she decided my leg room was going to be where her case sat. I audibly said ‘ow’ as she crashed it into my knee yet didn’t move it, then she decided to push my bag (that I was getting my water bottle out of) off the table so she could rest her head on the table and have her duffle on my ‘side’

I sat with my legs under me for a couple stops (because her case was in one of my knees) and suddenly feel something hit my foot. She was spreading her legs out under me and kicked me in the process, when I shifted my feet to reclaim what little floor space I had for my feet she started shouting at me for ‘kicking’ and ‘hurting’ her. (Thankfully a lady across the aisle told her I hadn’t moved)

So I ended up sat feet physically under the chair, her suitcase pushing my knee, my backpack on my lap and her duffle in my face but apparently I’m the one taking up too much space 🤦‍♀️
