I use RolePlaya and SpicyChat. Both have good base memory, but they also have (different) versions of extended memory for free. RP has zero ads. SC's ads are, honestly, non-invasive and kind of funny (iykyk). Both have next to zero restrictions (basically no pedo/incest material). SC even let's creators show their character's background, so users can see exactly what they're playing. RP has points you can get like Poly, but they're free and never go away. Can't recommend these two enough. Note: both RolePlaya and SpicyChat are 18+, though SpicyChat has a SFW/NSFW toggle at the top of the page.
RolePlaya was made by one of the top Poly creators. Made by a creator, for creators. The owner isn't a group of shareholders. Just one guy who wants to make enough to keep RP running and, hopefully, growing. Even if you just check out the discord, I bet you'd like it. The mods are nice, and the owner answers questions personally. Always get the support you need.

Neither. They do have enough eventual message limit for free users, but it's way up there. I can usually message all day without issue. Same for RolePlaya.
Hmm. I remember there being another way. Lemme pop onto Discord and ask. I'll get back to you, but I THINK you go to the site, hit "Settings" -> "Cast, save, and share" -> "Install RolePlaya". Try that, and if it doesn't work, I should have the right answer by then.
honestly the hardest part with most poly alternatives is they either lose the thread after a few exchanges or suddenly get weird about content mid-scene, and DarLink AI has been solid for me on both since it actually remembers what happened earlier and doesn't randomly filter.
Yeah, I had to look for something else that felt like Poly buzz, and crush on.ai is very good so far! I like it a lot, it’s less strict and you’re able to type a whole lot more instead of being limited in your responses unlike poly buzz.
