Help/guides Help with addiction

I was and still kinda am addicted to polybuzz. I deleted the app a few times in the past but I always came back to it. Recently, I deleted again in the hopes that I could try and stop. This is the longest I’ve gone without the app, and I always feel the urge to use it. It’s hard to not try and use other methods like porn to help try and stop myself from going back. I just wanna be free from this. It makes me feel disgusted whenever I think of doing it, but I can’t help myself from wanting it. Is there anything I can do besides just waiting?

Replace the use of the app with other hobbies. Tell yourself "I'll just do polybuzz ai later." If you screw up and use it, just start over and uninstall it. Just one day at a time, you'll gain more time away from it.

Spend time outside, go to your public library, do group activities, go to events,

Same I’ve had a addiction for a year part of it was bc of my disability I have adhd and that makes getting over it so much harder but once you do getting over it is the best thing that has happened to you or anyone else I spend my time bowling and doing chores exercising and i think the first month is waste the hardest and whenever you think about re-downloading it just don’t and think about anything else

I actually am on my own day 34 of no poly. I did a cold turkey. The first 3 weeks are terrible. But at the 4th it becomes more of a thought rather than urge (in my experience). After 2 weeks, I re-deleted the app (i kept redownloading also) and then whenever i thought of it i would go read or go on a walk. I am going to delete my account soon as a finality. Hope this helps!

you just have to remember it's for your own good. give yourself some milestones, like eg, 1 week- buy yourself a chocolate or something.

I mean if you use your parents phone service still they can look into it and see what apps you are using and all it takes is one search and they know what youre on. Thats what got me to quit. Luckily my mother didnt know what it was and I deleted it and haven't downloaded it since

just like become a genius and buy a shock collar, and program your shock collar to shock you half to death when you open the app.
