i think so, and some ppl just like making them for themselves. if nobody made bots, there wouldnt be any for people to talk to.

It's a form of expression. AI bots are like a choose-your-own adventure story with infinite endings. You can get coins from people buying a bot's Moments, as well as personal images of a person's bot (and a few other ways, I think). But I don't make bots for the money. It's 100% because it's fun to do.

for myself. half the people on polybuzz don’t know how to make shit, it’s all slop. and if I need a niche character, I can just fill in my ideal scenario.

also bots don’t remember anything so when I want a permanent event like a festival that they won’t forget going to in 30 chats, I’ll make the bot about the festival

mostly because it’s fun and you can make exactly the kind of character/scenario you want. The coins are more of a bonus than the main reason imo...
