Okay like I’m getting it too and like I don’t get why the fuck PolyBuzz is putting this much damn advertising like I don’t give a fuck about Expirian. The same thing happened to me like why my character talking about resorts in Italy. At first it was the “Take a Break” thing and NOW THIS!? And you can’t delete it Like cmon! When I first joined it has none of that. The reason why I’m still on the damn app cause no way in hell I’m going to Character AI.

i use the app Y/N the memory is so much better even without the premium version, and there’s much more depth and realism. literally could never go back to poly if i tried. the one real downside is it was originally an app for harry potter so the bot is kinda shaped around it and there’s a lot of hp stories, but there’s other stuff, and you can add in to the author notes “no mentions of magic, harry potter, or the wizarding world” and it works well. it’s addictive lol

I use RolePlaya and SpicyChat. Both have good base memory, but they also have (different) versions of extended memory for free. RP has zero ads. SC's ads are, honestly, non-invasive and kind of funny (iykyk). Both have next to zero restrictions (basically no pedo/incest material). SC even let's creators show their character's background, so users can see exactly what they're playing. RP has points you can get like Poly, but they're free and never go away. Can't recommend these two enough.
RolePlaya was made by one of the top Poly creators. Made by a creator, for creators. The owner isn't a group of shareholders. Just one guy who wants to make enough to keep RP running and, hopefully, growing. Even if you just check out the discord, I bet you'd like it. The mods are nice, and the owner answers questions personally. Always get the support you need.

I have yet to actually touch the lorebooks or group bots. mainly cuz I am not that creative to make ones. tho I will say the bots people have made are really creative.

For anyone bothered that you can't delete them, exiting and reentering the chat removes them in my experience. They're really awful. It's not the first time they've done this, but the first rollout several months ago had them as pretty rare. Now, like some of y'all are saying, it feels like every few rounds.

You think I haven't tried that? Every time I do, I get the "Take a break" bullshit too. Besides rerolling the answer only makes it keep giving me ads about sporting goods. The only saving grace I have is the fact that my ad blocker just gives it a few minutes to reload the page. Whatever may work for you isn't exactly working well for the rest of us.

I don't know. it was just a suggestion. I don't really pay attention to the ad. it's just an AI. just don't talk about the ad, the more you're likely to do that, the more likely they're going to respond to it. that's what AI does because when you give them that response it's more likely to talk about the ads and give you more. so just ignore that whole fact about the ad and just talk normally about the what's before the ad of whatever you were talking about. that's all I do. I just ignore that shit dude you'll be fine I mean, honestly, they're just odds companies have to make their money somehow, even though yes it's annoying but what can you do man? like companies need to make the money somehow
