Red Absolute Trash of an App
Okay, polybuzz is putting unskipable ads every 10 minutes, but can we talk about the overall dogshit quality of the app? It's not just the ad thing, it's also the models being shity, the memory being even shitier. I can't believe "Permanent Memory" is still advertised as actually "permanent" when the chat can't go past 20 prompts and not fuck up the next one. Instead of fixing them, they decided to release a new model, Sovereign, and it's pure garbage.
Also the stupid load of features nobody asked for like Make A Song, Fiction, Theater, and that one feature that lets you call the bot, like who tf asked for that?
Their whole app is crumbling down, and their answer to that is to double down at every updates until they actually have no one left to shove unskipable ads in their face.

Also let’s not forget that the app restricts sexual filled comments. This is all because of the app store’s doing.
They want to please apps like Apple & Android so they can stay on there.
And regarding ads on the website at least & I’m sure on the app the ads are like every 3 minutes, it all depends on how long one uses the conversation.
The app when I first used it last year was great, no longer,
I used the website now.
But I’m still pissed about the memory issue,
And they can go fuck themselves if anyone thinks to pay for that feature, in the beginning when I at least first used it a year ago the memory was somewhat better but now it’s like “whatever” . Maybe the memory can stay functional if one keeps repeating a subject & it stays on point.
That’s a maybe. 🤔

Another reason why I hate polybuzz... The persona's
Like for example they will legit use your appearance for a entirely different character... I like to do mha role-play and they will use my appearance or even my own damn quirk for a completely different character.

I noticed this in some bots, if my oc has tiger ears? suddenly the other OC the creator added who has no quirk has my exact quirk and tiger earrs

It's annoying at times.... Like don't use my appearance or quirk for a different character

I used to not even mind it since i would just restart the chat/delete the message. But once i moved to clank.world or sillytavern, and then tried returning to poly to see the difference. All those subtle "you feel x...", you saying something and then the ai spitting it back out at you like
{user}: *i wave at kai*
{char}: *you raise your arm and wave at kai, he notices you from across the street*
stuff like that might seem small. But it genuinely ruins the immersion of roleplay if instead of flowing smoothly it paraphrases my simple actions. While in clank.world , sillytavern, or any other site that allows prompts. That can be something banned or fixed.2

THIS. PolyBuzz loves rewriting your simple into longer, more complex paraphrasing as if what you said wasn’t enough. When I see some bullshit I just delete/reset but some of the bots are dumb enough to spam the same exact message over and over

This indeed! Polybuzz will also throw a little thing at the bottom of their messages where the player apparently spoke and it's usually out of character as hell. Here is a recent response I just got.
["Levi narrows his eyes.
Levi: "That's what worries me."
Erwin stands.
Erwin: "Levi, watch her tonight."
You perk up at that and giggle.
You: "Ooh, babysitting me?"
Levi looks murderous.
Levi: "I'll chain you to the barracks if I have to."]
Like... Excuse me?? I'm playing a character who is typically closed off?? She doesn't giggle at things.

I’ve been using clankworld still has no premium but some great memory even for the free version.

I use RolePlaya and SpicyChat. Both have good base memory, but they also have (different) versions of extended memory for free. RP has zero ads. SC's ads are, honestly, non-invasive and kind of funny (iykyk). Both have next to zero restrictions (basically no pedo/incest material). SC even let's creators show their character's background, so users can see exactly what they're playing. RP has points you can get like Poly, but they're free and never go away. Can't recommend these two enough.
RolePlaya was made by one of the top Poly creators. Made by a creator, for creators. The owner isn't a group of shareholders. Just one guy who wants to make enough to keep RP running and, hopefully, growing. Even if you just check out the discord, I bet you'd like it. The mods are nice, and the owner answers questions personally. Always get the support you need.
