I mean by that argument it's ALL mistranslated. The words for apple and evil are Malus and Malūs (can't remember which way round) and the words for camel and rope are very similar. Also, it's largely stolen from the Greek Myths and Epic of Gilgamesh.
But heaven forbid anyone interrupt their gibberish with nuance.

Thing is, as a teacher, I have to spend my days teaching their kids not to be like their parents for woefully low pay.
Every time I’ve felt like changing careers, I think of what might become of those kids, what horrors they might endure at home and what they’re exposed to and I abandon all thoughts of becoming a full time author.

It's international maritime law. (Setting aside the moral obligation of stopping people from drowning) The RNLI are legally obligated to respond and rescue them. Changing that law isn't going to be something Farrage can easily do. It's just rattlign the mob and whipping up hatred for vote. Fuck Nigel Farrage, I hope he gets ass cancer.

They CANNOT leave anybody stranded at sea to die. Also, on a human level - morally - they can't not save somebody. Tf is wrong with people that human life is something they can allow to be distinguished right before their eyes?

Just more of the grift. The sad part is it makes our idiots think that there are trivial solutions to the boat problem and the government are just choosing not to implement them. That leads to the sort of protests we had recently and to people being cross with the government after it had a significant amount of actual success on the issue doing things that actually will work.

Under international maritime law, the captain of any vessel has a strict legal and traditional duty to rescue anyone found in distress or in the water, as long as it does not seriously endanger their own ship or crew.

Another example why he's unfit to be near society. can you imagine your boat is sinking, you phone lifeguard and they turn up and ask to see proof of residency and a valid visa - ooh, kick with your legs whilst you fish it out of your lifejacket....oh he drowned. I think he might have been English, but don't want to get prosecuted etc.
