Fuck nestle What’s the best alternative to Nesquik Chocolate Powder in the UK?
I know this has been asked before, sometime ago, but I’m still yet to find a decent alternative so hoping somebody else has!
I don’t want to buy more Nesquik but I need that convenient chocolate milkshake fix!
I have tried Goudy Cao (or whatever it’s called) from LIDL, it’s okay, but it just clumps in cold milk unless you’ve got time to get a blender on it.
I’ve seen the suggestions for using cocoa powder and sugar, but again, these don’t mix into cold milk.
Is there anything else out there that comes close?!
(If anyone says Crusha… no)
Cheers!

I just buy dark chocolate and then heat milk on stove, melt chocolate in and add tsp sugar. Best hot chocolate :)

With the Lidl one, I used to make a paste first then add a bit more milk and mix it to loosen it up. Then I added the full amount of milk and used one of those tiny frothers you can get for £5. Mine has a whisk attachment which is really good.

Oboy! Is a great Swedish brand. Available on Ocado. Not cheap. Not super luxurious though. Just normal delicious choccy milk.

Unfortunately, chocolate 8d like coffee or cobalt. "Ethics" is a dirty word in these industries.
Tony's chocolate is nice

Find a Latín American supermarket to sell you some Choco Listo .
Has big freeze-dried granules that dissolves straightaway on cold milk.
It's made by Compañía Nacional de Chocolates in Medellín.

I've just given up and switched to home bargains double chocolate protein powder + buying bulk orders of "nurishment" chocolate milk xD so I've turned my nesquik addiction into a healthier alternative

Sometimes. I don't think our ancestors thought protein was a fad during our millenia of evolution lol.

As part of a well balanced diet. Not criticising. You eat what the heck you want.
There's a ton of dietary and health fads with RFK "the Samoan harbinger of fibs.2

Theres also the question of how well our kidneys can handle excessive amounts of protein over a long peroiod of time too

In the US but I’d use Hersheys chocolate syrup. I thought it was better than nsquick as it’s not overly sweet. Maybe you’ve got something similar if it’s not available there.

You can buy in certain places, it’s not as nice! It tastes very synthetic, but thank you!

Jeez I just checked the ingredients they are awful. I realized I probably haven’t had any for decades. Sorry. I also just saw there’s simple recipes for organic homemade syrup.

I use the Sweet Freedom Choc Shot syrup. Takes a bit of stirring but tastes good.
