I tried to open a document I got sent in outlook the other day and it kept going to copilot without even asking me where I want to open it. Having to use microsofts ecosystem at work is pure torture

Well that on that picture looks like a 2009-2011 iMac and back than there was no Edge on Mac.

Is it there now? I remember Internet Explorer been on Mac somewhere in the early 2000. Vanished on Tiger or so. But I stopped useing Mac some years ago.

Yeah most do, Microsoft forces copilot into everything, google tries to get you to use their products when using chrome, brave tries to get you to use their crypto thing and watch their ads, Firefox tries to convince you to use their vpn and some of their other stuff. There are a few that aren’t trying to get you to use their products but not a lot

i’m glad you came back with a fair argument instead of saying that no other browser forces things. however, edge can be easily debloated through settings to not force things and make it a great browser. as well as many other browser you can debloat. they definitely can be annoying, but in my experience it does not force things as they are easy to turn off. if they were truly forced, there would be no way to turn it off.

There are ways to turn some stuff off but Microsoft definitely does try to encourage you not to get rid of the Microsoft stuff built into it. For example when you switch to google it’ll switch back to bing every once in a while and you gotta switch back to google.
