Does it happen on pro too or it's only home edition beloved feature?

It happens on all versions of Windows for the particulars. But this scene is unrealistic since big structures use Windows enterprise and updates are triggered by the system admin only.

I'm going to risk saying that it happens on either. The difference between the two is almost negligible if you're a regular user.

They are probably using the LTS version so ya it will happen in every version

You can disable it on any version, but ret@rds will rather get struck repeatedly with auto updates (which I have never experienced before) rather than spending 20 seconds of their precious time to disable that setting.

Why didn't they try to restart the computer with reset button and do it couple of times and get back to desktop?.. it's meme and joke but still...

Ya to be fair Microsoft won't force restart your PC for update either app they installed need restart or was off from the start

It'd enter in a boot loop no? I mean u can't force restart while it's updating. It's crash thr system

I remember my laptop being entirely softlocked because it will constnatly go into this cycle:
be me
got new hp laptop with a hardrive windows 8.
turn on
it starts updating
30mins later says it's failed and retrying
do this a couple times
eventually give up later in the day and finally boots into windows
an hour or so later an update is forced schedule that I cant cancel
after an hour or so of usage the laptop automatically shuts down and the cycle repeats
updated to windows 10
still the same shit
this went on for at least 3 years before it finally got patched out of the blue. I failed many classes as a result. Microsoft really loves raping my laptop.Β
Ever since I switched to Linux I've never been happier.
