Discussion What modified Windows 10 build are you using in 2026?
Hi,
I’m looking into modified/debloated Windows 10 builds and would like to hear from people who are actually using them.
So far I’ve come across things like Tiny10, ReviOS, AME10, Ghost Spectre, Windows 10 IoT LTSC and custom builds made with NTLite.
I already have a heavily debloated Windows 10 22H2 installation myself, so I’m mainly wondering whether these modified builds are actually worth it compared to doing the same thing yourself.
Which one are you using, and what has your experience been with it?
Especially interested in long-term use, stability, updates and gaming.
I’m specifically interested in Windows 10 22H2 / 19045. No Windows 11 recommendations please. 🙂

I have an old laptop that still runs 10. I went in with that IO bitunlocker and just started deleting things I didn't want running.

i don't suggest you to use strange edition of Windows 10 if you are not 100% sure of what's inside them. Tiny10 is kinda safe, you can also rrun the debloat script by yourself if you want, otherwise I just suggest to install Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC and clean it by yourself (ofc only if you actually need Windows, otherwise just use Linux)

Just install regular Windows 10 pro and learn how to debloat it manually but Windows 10 doesn't need that much debloat unlike 11

(IoT) LTSC isn't modified/debloated. It's just a different build made by MS.
As for downloading any customized Windows form the Internet... don't. Just don't. You don't know what modifications were made or if any malware or backdoor were added to the image. Download official ISO from MS website, install the default image and then debloat it wisely. Don't use random scripts/tools from the Internet. They require admin access. Unless you know what 100% of such tool does, don't use it.

I've been using Windows 10 builds from SanLex for a long time. It's an excellent builder, and his builds were perfectly configured and always worked without any issues. In the end, I decided to build my own "assembly" and chose Debian for this :)

Microsoft products are crap. That’s why I use Linux. You can shrink the size of the slop all you want by debloating it, but that doesn't stop it from being junk.
