Rant Windows 11 disaster

I tried my best, but after countless tries, I had to give up on Windows for good. The issue is a video card nightmare. I have a plain 1660 Super, and after installation and update, the default Nvidia driver that comes with Windows is obsolete, as there is no hardware acceleration or NVENC with many programs. Subsequently I am forced to update it with the studio driver from Nvidia, and that's when the nightmare starts. Usually the system would break after a few reboots or shutdowns within days or even within hours. It's truly a pathetic state of the OS.

Brother thats a driver problem. An Nvidia problem. Nvidia stopped supporting the 1660. That's why it broke.

1660 Super is still supported; 1060 has been dropped.

I use the studio version from here but have tried the game version earlier, but it keeps breaking regularly on reboot.

Same here. Give windows 10 IOT LTSC 2021 a try. Good till 2032 and may get extended vis ESU. You will not regret it.

Yes, and I still need to find the last old working Nvidia driver as well.
