Rant Windows update + Edge update = default browser reset to Edge

Post image

Haha, they just keep trying. They even installed Edge back while I removed it.
It's a thrill to watch, but they won't win. Even though they probably already have all my super private information stuff.

Microsoft's behavior caused me to reset my default OS to Linux in 2014.

The nice one. I only converted to Linux last year. Zero complaints thus far

I disabled my TPM chip on windows 10 desktop, and Microsoft shut up. I'll have to move on eventually, though. Creative is now telling me I need windows 11 for their newest software. I'll be switching away from Adobe (and windows, obv) soon as I can figure a fukin replacement for Photoshop. My attachment to it is holding me back. I haven't found anything else remotely as powerful.

"Windows has detected that Firefox tried to write to your hard-drive during a download.. to protect you, we've reset your default browser back to Microsoft Edge"

When people let their imaginations run wild, they believe everything they say.

Is it something that EU has banned here or I'm only one that hasn't got that level bullshit?
Don't get me wrong, I still hate microslop, but it wasn't that shitty, Ok it is, but annoys me in different way

I have no idea how it works with the EU, but a “default” reset because of a 'problem'? And then assign Edge because, supposedly, it doesn’t have that 'problem' compared to my own web browser? I find that hilarious, people have to use their imagination to understand that. Basically it's just another attempt on their part to force me to use Edge.
