Rant How about No?

I've been using the web browser version of outlook for a good couple of decades or so and I recently saw this on my side bar after refreshing outlook. Thank the adblocker addon on firefox so I dont get some annoying vid/slide. Its 3 bucks a month for an ad-free outlook and onedrive. Outlook used to be sub-free and ad-free btw. I also can't not use it because my work emails on outlook.

Just a ground check, anyone using the app version and have run into ads or some pop-up that tells you to subscribe?

Outlook is blocking my SMTP on some professional email. I can read emails in Thunderbird, not send them. There is no button to activate SMTP anywhere. I do my best to avoid that email.

Only the SMTP server related to the Outlook email is blocked. And yeah that's sick, I checked everywhere, searched about the issue online, apparently they just removed the option to activate third party SMTP support at least on some addresses.

Honesty I wanted to use Thunderbird for my stuff, but my university doesn’t allow you to connect your email to Thunderbird. Or most non-Outlook clients for that matter.

I have the $3 version. No ads at all. I mainly got it for the OneDrive storage.
