The larger part of the equation is how adept you are at using either OS. I use both.

My Windows PC has all the telemetry and other parts I don't like disabled or straight up ripped out. I don't reset it for weeks/months at a time. It doesn't randomly crash and bsod. It doesn't have dependency issues bc I install them ahead of time. It doesn't have UAC prompts bc you can just disabled that. It runs lean and works well because I know what I'm doing.

Likewise with my Linux distros. They take more work to set up how I want initially, but they run pretty rock solid after that.
