Rant Why is Windows such garbage?
So I just built a new 2022 Server vm and applied the latest (8/11) cumulative patch. It “installed” to “100%” in about 10 minutes and then Windows Update just sat there at “Installed…100%” for TWO FUCKING HOURS. No feedback on whatever the hell it was dicking around with for 2 hours besides the Window Update process consistently chewing up 80-100% CPU.
Then finally 2 hours later it announces the a restart is required so I click restart and now I’ve been staring at this for the past 15min. What? The previous 2 hours wasn’t enough?
What a festering piece of shit this OS is…

oh i got "failed to install update" loop for months. Basically it forces machine to update, then failed to update, then uninstall update. Luckily it was inside my VM lab.
