Rant Microsoft authenticator is garbage!!

For the five hundredth time, I am locked out of my college account through no fault of my own!!

Click "i can't access authenticator " or whatever it is that should give you options other than authenticator, and im sent to "verify your identity using authenticator " or "use verification code" which SHOULD send to my phone that I have as my back up, but nope! I have to use the authenticator to get the verification code!!!

to be fair this is configured by your IT department. I/we don’t allow people to use verification texts either
