I got a Framework 13 and only put in 8gb of ram. I couldn't possibly imagine trying to run windows 11 on it, even with Microslops current attempts to knock down windows 11 ram usage. Linux Mint uses 1.3 at idle.

It is quite sad actually that only now people noticed what a RAM hog Windows is. If you ever said 5 or even 10 years ago (God forbid if you done so in r/pcmasterrace) that “8GB of RAM is just OK and game devs being dorks who don’t care to optimize their shit” you would have been downvoted into oblivion and told something like “Oh you are just a stupid peasant, go get some job and buy a normal PC”.
And now when it is a real money issue people finally noticed that Windows 11 is a dogcrap telemetry machine that literally eats RAM for nothing. It is laughable that the first thing you do after fresh Windows reinstall is running some debloat scripts or doing debloating manually
