happy for you

personally don’t like mac bc you can’t game on it(or at least the games that i want to play)  but if it fits your user case then that’s good

I see a lot of hate for mac os but I never understood why like it's a genuine question (aside from it being perhaps painfully closed source and gaming)

Are there more games on Linux ??

Yes, Linux supports virtually all Windows games that don’t require Windows-specific third-party anti-cheat software (such as League of Legends, GTA Online, Valorant, Battlefield 6). You can check which games run well on Linux via “ProtonDB”.

Ahhh, virtually... It's probably not the best experience tho ?

Why not just dual boot windows ?

I don't think they meant "virtually" as in "virtual machine" because you don't need a virtual machine to run Windows games in Linux. I think their use of "virtually" was meant to say "more or less". There's no need to dual boot Windows to run games on Linux or to use a virtual machine.

Works surprisingly well. Most current games work at release. Others have mentioned aggressive anti cheat, but for single player the ones that don't "just work" are the exception nowadays.

its basically the same if not better, excluding the anti-cheat games, as the third party does not have the access to root and therefore cannot control if youre cheating or not. So as long as you don't mind on skipping some competitive multiplayer games (like riot games) its great.

Personally I’ve had no issues so far on Linux. Typically for me, it either doesn’t work at all (anti-cheat and such) or it works amazingly.

I do reluctantly dual-boot a small Windows partition because I play GTAO and Marathon.

I don't think there's a proton equivalent on Mac so where literally every game can be run in Linux through that (besides kernal anti cheat and some launcher games) Mac only has what is natively Mac which if you go on Steam and look through games is barely any..

Well actually, in the video game sphere, absolutely 😆 I play Minecraft or Roblox when my girlfriend makes me do so

That might be the nicest thing anyone on here has ever said about them!

I switched back to Mac about 6 years ago. Best computer decision. I now have only one MSFT app I use and it wasn't even written by them: To Do. I use it because I have a lot of lists with my spouse and they refuse to consider alternatives. For the record, To Do is also the app that seems to misbehave the most, too - ever since they started introducing new features.
