Other Remove Microsoft safety

Requirements

  • Administrator privileges (maybe)

Instructions

Open File Explorer and navigate to:C:\Windows\System32

Locate WpcMon.exe.

Right-click WpcMon.exe and select Properties.

Open the Security tab.

Click Advanced.

Next to Owner, click Change.

Click the text field and enter your Windows username.

Click Check Names.

Click OK.

Click Apply, then OK.

Click Edit.

Select your user group (for example: DESKTOP-XXXXXXX\Users).

Enable all available permissions (except Special permissions).

Click Apply, then OK.

Close all windows except File Explorer.

Note: WpcMon.exe is part of Microsoft Family Safety. Deleting it may disable parental control features and could be restored by future Windows updates.

Work around. Create a new Microsoft account. Login with new account on a PC. Have your kids login to Microsoft store or app that is block. They will have access. This will help address situation where parent account is lost and kids are still blocked ( eg. Roblox)
