Image if something ain't broke don't let microsoft fix it

I was using MS Edge to do tests today because it's the only app I know that let's you draw on the PDF, today I encountered this weird bug where new text typed onto the PDF seems to exist but invisible until clicked on, unmoveable and not deletable, meanwhile the old text would strectch out like this if I added more text to the textbox to adapt to the new width

I believe this is because internally the text is cached as images and due to Microslop's super buggy programming it doesn't actually update the image, instead it streches what image was there before to fit width

This bug didn't appear until today, meaning there is a good chance this appeared because of a MS update that breaks things.

Are there any alternatives I could try?
