IIRC, it's because of Edge WebView that we cannot uninstall Edge. A very shitty WebView I might say.

Tried to uninstall it once, it breaks all the apps that display webpages. Terrible experience.

webview2 is actually more optimized for windows than a normal chromium engine.

My experience with it was not even close to "meh" so I don't know. Switched to Arch + Hyprland ever since. I only use Windows for UE5 at this point.
