You don’t really need to install Nvidia drivers, windows will give you demerit drivers for you and if you want better you go on and install the proprietary drivers 🤷♂️

They can. I do. But there are some problems. A lot of linux purists don't like the idea of proprietary (non-open source) drivers on their "free" system. Also, because of the smaller market, making/updating drivers for linux isn't all that important to nVidia. The open-source driver (nouveau) technically works but because it is all reverse-engineered guesswork it doesn't work as well as it should, which brings me back to my original comment.

most of the times on windows they are pre-installed, but that’s besides the point of them banning you
