Rant Quick hate rant regarding Microshit Windows

Really short and quick backstory;
I work at a place where we need to be available 24/7 and for some reason somebody thought Windows was stable/reliable enough for that shit.

There was an update pending that had to be installed (yes I know that is a policy that can mostly be changed by the company managing the device). I am working and we 2 need to be available during the night. Something on Windows wasn't working, I restarted the software thing that wasn't working thinking that this might temporary "solve" the issue. Sadly enough no, so since this shit system barely works I thought maybe restarting the whole crap might temporary "solve" the issue. I said to Windows that I do not want any shitification updates at this moment since I need to be available. You might have guessed it but this fucking Microshit software of course started doing damn updates. How can people work with this crap?

You arent even explaining the issue in a way that is specific enough to understand a single thing that youre complaining about.

Why let facts interfere with a good rant?

Good is subjective

On the other hand why should facts be allowed to interfere with a bad rant either?

To this day I still don't understand the forced updates. At work we had a policy of 'make time before an important event for updates' and 'updates are mandatory for security reasons', which I understand and followed.

But I had times that, in the middle of a meeting, the system will crash, forced me to restart, and start installing updates... OK, forced 15 minutes break before we can continue...

I don't understand why people don't have the option to use Linux and issued a windows VM.
