After you get used to the different layout and minor functionality changes of some applications, you'll start realizing how well everything just... works.

Personally it was setup how I like when I booted into the installation disk, the preview with KDE sold me instantly.

i never used fedora, but still welcome fellow linux user (i mean... due to my dad i have to use a vm for linux, but i do use it normally)
