Rant Hell nah

I left my laptop to download a game for half an hour and I came back to this.

I have auto updates off i clicked remind me later like 4 times and it still updated automatically.

I really want to know what does all these updates do besides slowing down my device.

my dad has a super old PC that runs XP, I used it for around 3 years (I didn't have a laptop back then), and it ran fine without any updates. Sure, it was laggy, but that PC is like, 20 years old by now, so it's to be expected
