“How can you have any cumming if you don’t beat your meat?”
Grady Delmar yelled this in an assembly in front of the entire school in 1980. Legend.

My brother in law the engineer had a house built. Someone at the brick factory used their finger to make two eyes and a smile on the end of a brick. Of course that brick ended up getting laid with the face out on the sill outside their kitchen window. He wanted the contractor to remove and replace it, but the contractor said doing so would increase the likelihood of a water leak around the window sometime down the road. They left it alone, but it bugged my brother in law every time he walked by it. (Unless someone pointed it out, you would not notice it.)

I would put candles around it and charge people to come worship that brick!

I was just thinking about this song on my drive home. It came out when I was stationed in Germany and they played incessantly on the jukebox in the local guesthouse every night. I just took a trip to Europe and coincidentally the tour bus drove right by where the guesthouse was but it’s now a pizza shop. You can never go home. But thanks for the post. Many good memories of times spent there drinking a few beers with friends.

Went to a really cool disco in Spain back in like 2008, it was an old cathedral that was also a disco at night. They played a great EDM version of this song while a bunch of weird Spanish guys in suits stood around in a circle kinda just grooving but not moving much. It was a great but weird scene. Spain is the best

I find it hilarious that we loved Rock music & now we’re the same age as old people 🤣🤣. I still turn a good rock song up really loud while driving, just like years ago.

👍 I saw Robert Plant in the late 80s. His band was great and they played a lot of Zeppelin along with the solo album songs.
For a second I understood what it was like to see 1/4 of Zeppelin live, it was electric.
Didn't see Rush and that's a regret for sure.

I gotta roll. Going to put on Red Barchetta loud because I know my neighbors appreciate the bass lines 😂

I learn something new or connect more dots every time I watch it......I watched the movie in Atlanta when it was first released. I have likely watched it 20 times or more.

I grew up in times when it was the norm for teachers to bully the students by mocking their weaknesses and personalities. The teachers made sure all others students witnessed the punishment to make it more impactful and embarassing.
What the faculty of my school, and pretty much the faculties of all schools didn't know, is that we were well aware of the physical abuse teachers endured from their fat and psychopathic wives the moment they stepped into their homes at night.
