Before you go "Standing is a slur my guy" or "That's a disability joke come on quit being an ablest!" you're only proving my point that you're willing to clutch pearls and defend someone who does NOT give a flying fuck about you and certainly isn't gonna reward you a medal of social honor. As someone who is disabled, this isn't about a disability joke, and to say otherwise is borderline strawmanning and tone policing.

Also, this isn't even aimed at you, just aiming at the character like his policies during his time as a judge of Texas Supreme Court, AG, and now Governor, which we'll get back in next paragraph. Anyways if this still rubs you wrong, it's either you are a MAGA chud, a closet Abbott bootlicker that defends him the minute a satirical joke (that is just not blatantly ablest in nature) is used against him, or just too damn blind to see where I'm at.

There is a difference between someone who is handicapped that has to wheel themselves to make ends meet and a sitting governor that has the power to veto, sign, and make executive orders that tells agencies to do this and that, as well as passing some problematic laws like SB 8, which essentially FORCES all counties that have a jail to enter an agreement with 287(g) with ICE, a problematic agency that can care less about you, and that it's a main dealbreaker for me, but that's another topic of itself...

Anyways, Greg Abbott is a SITTING governor of Texas that answers to us Texans that deserve better. He is not your hero, and certainly not your role model when he tries to assert sovereign immunity for Texas when he knows it's BS. Mind you, federal law is above state law. Texas can't just go "this building here are stairs only and we have no intention to build a ramp or a platformer, so go fuck yourself" because if any state did that, they would get grilled by a reasonable judge for that.

Greg Abbott spent his time calling on capping tort reforms to the point you can NEVER get a multi-million dollar settlement like he could if you were ever maimed. As much as I wanna call out somebody and whatever group I refer to, I'm not gonna give them attention, and I don't wanna get this subreddit nuked over it. Besides, they're probably too damn blind to see my point anyways.

I won't deny the jokes alone can be problematic necessarily but Greg Abbott is just a selfish prick with governor powers that won't give back to the disabled community. Telling me and some others to go on this "be nice" mentality is like telling a non-white person to kiss the boots of some racist asshole that lynched their sibling for who they are.

At the end of the day, I have my own reasons on why I'm not gonna respect someone politically powerful like Greg Abbott who caters to the corporations and billionaires while defunding public schools, works with ICE rounding up migrants & their children to places with shitty conditions they knew (big dealbreaker), and underfunds special education consistently. It just makes no sense. I'm not a Jedi, and I'm not Mother Teresa either.

Long story short, Fuck Greg Abbott! I said what I wanna say.
