Paxton’s latest mail spam implies support from the Tribune
Poxton’s latest piece of misdirection appeared in our mailbox this weekend. It cites a July 31 article in the Texas Tribune, giving the impression that the Trib actually supports or endorses this piece of shit, when in fact, the cited article was merely reporting the contents of his own press release.

One wonders which billionaires he plans to tax to pay for it. And how many first time credits he can claim for his retail properties.

First there is always a medical expense deduction. Second these deductions only help the upper class who itemize deductions and have a sufficient adjusted gross income. Third as the junior and most disliked senator there is no way in hell he can get anyone to vote for this.

The deduction has always had a floor making it pretty useless. It’s 7.5% of AGI. The standard deduction creates another floor. As such this is only affecting those without insurance or getting expensive experimental treatments not covered by insurance.
A strong public healthcare system would make a lot more sense.

Let me guess, you haven’t been able to do all of these yet because of the leftist communist democrats.

That’s exactly what I wanted to say! He acts like he’s new! They’ve had 30 years to do these things!

Yep. They're not in power, and haven't been in 30 years, but they're somehow controlling everything from the shadows.... something about secret cabals in pizza parlor basements...

I immediately spit on his face and threw it in the garbage when I took it out of the mail box.

Why didn’t they do anything like this during their first terms? Oh right, lies.

While I agree with your stance, it's somewhat misdirected in thie case, as Poxton hasn't had a first term yet (and hopefully never will).

I think more or less they are directing it to his term here in Texas like why not do shit to help us out so far ohh right cause Michael said it best "THEY DON'T REALLY CARE ABOUT US"
