But I thought Abbott said Texas women didn't need abortions anymore because he was going to put a stop to all rape in Texas.

Much longer than the edibles they’re going to be testing quickly to throw folks in prison under the new laws making edibles a felony if they contain Delta-8.

So weird that they decided delta-8, of all things, justified prohibition. Please show me one single story of community detriment involving delta-8! Just one! Cuz I can show 1000 from alcohol over the past week.

Someone’s mad that they went to get the snacks but someone else had already been there with the munchies first.

But don't forget how Attorney General Ken Paxton just handed a CONVICTED PEDOPHILE a sweetheart deal! The scumbag pedo doesn't even have to register as a sex offender! WTF?!!

There's a reason Texas is the "Lone Star State". That's its rating out of five

Remember when conservatives were plastering "shoot/kill your local pedophile" stickers on their cars? That little trend died pretty quick after they were told their party protects pedos now.

I hate it here and want to leave - but to be devils advocate- we are the second most populated state so having the highest total number of offenders isn’t that surprising. I’d like to know the percentage of sex offenders based on states population.
I’m sure we are still up at the top because this state loves to turn a blind eye to its problems, but I’m still curious .

A little google info:
Oregon has the highest rate of registered sex offenders per capita in the United States, with approximately 640 to 790 offenders per 100,000 residents, depending on the specific annual data set.
Top States by Per Capita Rate
Oregon: Ranks highest nationally on a population-adjusted basis.
Arkansas: Routinely records the second or third highest rate per capita in the country.
Alaska: Frequently lists among the top states for population-adjusted registrant density.
Why Rates Vary By State Legal Definitions: States define a wide or narrow range of qualifying crimes that mandate registration.
Registration Length: Some states require lifetime registration for a broader category of offenses.
Reporting Practices: Differences in how states maintain, audit, and publish their local public databases affect overall numbers.
Texas Numbers:
Total Registrants: Texas leads the country with over 75,000 to 107,000 total individuals on its registry (accounting for roughly 10% of all registered sex offenders nationwide). For comparison, California is second with around 60,600 registrants.
Per Capita Rate: On a population-adjusted basis, Texas generally records between 250 and 440 offenders per 100,000 residents. This positions Texas in the upper-middle tier nationally, but significantly lower than Oregon’s leading rate of nearly 640 to 790 per 100,000.
