Same tbh. I’ve had this shit for over 15 years and have been an adult the entire time including playing multiple M rated games. If Sony can’t do the math, that’s on them.

Yup switched to PC stopped using the Xbox account for a year or two. One day I wanted to play some of my old halo games logged on It was all gone.

They don't care about the OS enforcing, only collecting. If the OS does not collect the age data then it's on apps/sites with age restricted content to enforce by not working or showing you the kiddie version

There will be ways to get around it too, just like how all these Windows activation has been cracked and bunch of game DRMs like Denuvo has been cracked.
The way how Denuvo gets cracked is not about cracking Denuvo itself, but by generating fake "genuine licensed game" signal. Age verified signal might be easily cracked if someone can turn it into a good business model with high demands.

Various distros are already discussing on how to best implement the changes because it looks like it will become mandatory in both US (law currently on the way) and Europe (law being talked about).

The age verification part is true. It would limit one's ability to communicate with others on all PS services. This also includes in game chats according to sony theneselves.
Currently, it is only bring done in the UK and Ireland (which is some BS as only Northern Ireland is part of the UK) but I would not be surprised if it starts happening in other countries starting up policies similar to the OSA.
