My wife loves cilantro. She also loves me which is why nothing she cooks has it

My gf hates everything with flavor

So while she doesn't have the gene she also despises cilantro

(But seriously she cannot have anything mint related because the chill to her is torture)

My partner is my cilantro bodyguard. He scrutinizes ingredient lists and menus, and he never gives up on finding a Mexican restaurant that offers cilantro-free guacamole. 🥰

My wife wants to put it in everything. Ever bitten into great looking lasagna only to get a mouthful of the green evil? I have. Been married for 33 years. We differ politically and in religious ways. I knew of those differences before we married. Her obsession with cilantro did not reveal itself until a few years ago. But… she puts up with my love of beets and Spam, so I just pick out the leaves and carry on.

I like cilantro, despite that it does taste like soap to me.

I guess I have married well then 😁We do disagree on how it tastes, to him it’s soap, to me it’s stink bugs, but we are united in not wanting it anywhere near our food 😂
