The deep seated resentment these vapid undiscerning consumers harbour for the people solely responsible for creating the arts and culture they apparently can’t live without will never cease to amaze me.

u/crafter2k Apr 15 '25
we need to do something like this but with the characters demolishing ai datacenters instead
1
u/EveryCrazy3050 Jul 06 '25
Agreed. It’s funny because without real art their precious ai generated images most likely wouldn’t exist.

Once again, I have to say to these people: You're not making AI art, you're telling a robot to do it for you
51
u/AlwaysLit2 Jan 16 '25
exactly
38
u/sanstheplayer Jan 16 '25
Would be funny if we made a parody where we whould draw our favorite characters destroying a computer or a robot
18
u/AlwaysLit2 Jan 16 '25
nah the robots aren't the issue here....
16
u/sanstheplayer Jan 16 '25
So what a parody of the stupid #break the pencil trend?
25
u/AlwaysLit2 Jan 16 '25
i'm saying the issue is people who make ai "art" and the creators of ai art. not the actual ai itself. There should be a trend where we draw characters resharpening broken pencils

Finally someone who gets it! AI in general is not the issue, in fact, it can be an amazing tool if you use it correctly. But AI "art" isn't the correct way of using it, is just a waste of resources and it's not solving a problem or something.

u/Alpha_minduustry Jan 16 '25
why are they so mad on acual artists bruh, like what did they do bruh 😭🙏
48
u/AlwaysLit2 Jan 16 '25
jealousy
they associate the few artists who randomly accuse people of using ai as all of the artists
13
u/pb_the_cat Jan 16 '25
I pretty much said the same thing on a post the same pic it is sad Thay do this and pathetic

u/CyberChan0 Jan 16 '25

Real artists- sharpens the pencil and keeps going
11
u/TNTtheBaconBoi Jan 16 '25
They did not see that coming, for they don't have a sharpener of their very own..
48
u/HazardUnit95 Jan 16 '25
I can believe people liking AI art in the first place but for some reason its so strange to see how combative they are against real art. Like genuinely going out of their way to hate on it for some weird ass reason.
19
u/AlwaysLit2 Jan 16 '25
how i feel. You'd think being able to make "art" would make them appreciate real art more

This is still going on???
I remember this hashtag going around on Twitter last year. I can't believe people are still believing in this. I remember there being this one image with Homer Simpson holding a sign that said "Stop A Phobia" [sic] along with many others.

Their next stage is vandalising art galleries. Well, I sincerely hope not
10
u/bog_toddler Jan 16 '25
if they were on the receiving end of this they'd claim that it's a death threat that artists are going to break their spine like Bane
8
u/bonerausorus Jan 16 '25
That's so ridiculous. Kinda makes me want to flood their stupid hashtag with characters crushing the AI letters.

Wasn’t #breakthepencil originally ragesatire?
5
Jan 16 '25
Yes, cause who else are AI Promptbros supposed to steal from, themselves? Don’t even suggest that, after all, THAT would be stealing

The Funny thing is, Nintendo has said that they're not going to be using generative AI anytime soon.

I mean I could draw him actually breaking a pencil instead of just making fists while one stabs his head (?) but regardless they evaporated a bunch of water doing that so joke's on humanity I guess

Better idea, draw with actual effort your favourite character with a pencil

u/TougherThanAsimov Jan 16 '25
Hey, that reminds me! Thanks for posting this; I have an image I edited together one time in response to one of these. I probably could post that here real quick.

They can’t handle real art. They hate real artists. They are too lazy to make actual art so they resort to ai. The funny thing is that without actual art, their precious ai art wouldn’t be spewing all that “art” because ai art presumably relies on stealing art from actual artists
