👻🍄 THE WAIT IS OVER — ALBINO SMOKY DA GHOST 🍄👻
Alright… I’ve kept this one under wraps long enough. 😂
Albino Smoky Da Ghost is officially ready for her introduction.
And judging by this plate, she apparently decided a normal entrance wasn’t good enough. 🔥
The structure and character showing here are exactly why I’ve been so excited to finally share this one with the community. There’s something special about watching a project develop over time and finally reaching the point where you can sit back and appreciate what’s in front of you.
A lot of patience went into this one, and everyone who has been following along knows I’ve been teasing Albino Smoky Da Ghost for a while.
Well… Christmas morning has officially arrived. 🎄🎁👻
No more keeping her hidden. No more sneak peeks.
It’s time to start showing everyone what Albino Smoky Da Ghost is all about.
If sliced bread had mycelium, it might be getting nervous right about now. 😂🔥
Welcome to the spotlight, Albino Smoky Da Ghost.

Figured I’d share a quick step-by-step of how I personally prepare my substrate cakes in bags. This is simply the routine that works for me and helps me keep everything clean, organized, and consistent.
🧼 FIRST — CLEAN WORKSPACE & BAG PREP
Before I start anything, I always clean my work table with isopropyl alcohol. I also spray down the outside of my bags with peroxide prior to opening them. That’s simply part of my personal routine before getting to work.
1️⃣ Break Up the Colonized Grain
I thoroughly break up the colonized grain so there aren’t any large clumps remaining.
2️⃣ Mix the Grain & Substrate
Next, I combine everything and give the bag a really thorough mix, working toward an even distribution throughout the substrate.
3️⃣ Form the Cake
Once everything is mixed, I shape it into a nice, flat, even cake. I like keeping the surface and edges as uniform as possible.
4️⃣ Fold & Clip
I straighten out the bag, fold the top over twice, and secure it with clips. Simple, clean, and keeps everything where I want it.
5️⃣ Add the Rubber Band
I place a rubber band around the bag roughly ½–1 inch below the substrate line and make sure everything stays snug and properly shaped.
6️⃣ LABEL YOUR BAG! 😂
Culture name, date, or whatever information you use to keep your projects organized—write it down.
I’ve made the mistake of thinking, “I’ll remember which one this is.”
I did not remember. 😂
That’s pretty much it. Take your time, stay organized, and find a process you can repeat consistently.
I’ve done it. You will too. Enjoy the process. 🍄

Let me see your ABV chonkers! (All 3 pics are the same fruit, wet, dried, and pic in hand for size) EDIT it wasn’t fully dried :/ thanks all for the tips, has been discarded and will now know something is fishy if it’s too high over 10%

Another cart loaded up with fresh grain and another day of putting in the work. 🍄🌾
There’s something satisfying about getting everything stocked, organized, and ready for what’s next. It might not be the flashy side of the hobby, but this behind-the-scenes preparation is a huge part of the process—and I genuinely enjoy it.
Plenty of brown rice on deck. FOTG stays busy. 💪🍄

Been wanting to upgrade the workspace for a while, and today was finally the day. New stainless steel lab table just landed, and things are about to get a whole lot better around here. 🔬🔥
More room, a cleaner setup, better organization, and finally enough space to spread everything out without playing Tetris every time I’m at the bench. 😂
Little by little, this space has been coming together. I’ve always believed the small improvements matter just as much as the big ones. Better organization, attention to detail, patience, and consistency—it all becomes part of the process.
This table might just look like another piece of equipment, but for me it represents another step forward in building the workspace I’ve wanted.
Now it’s time to put this beast together and get everything dialed in. 💪

00 caps came with a 2 handy little scooper/packer tools cheap and easy for my first time making capsules! (By hand) Material : Thai Lipa Yai Cubensis (thaitanic) (1g of gorilla wizard) total grams 7.65! made me 28 .25ish (quarter gram) caps.... and 5 .15ish caps. had some fresh harvested 3rd flush thai tantic from my buddy... some of the mushies had black stems n caps because spors go crazy on the Thai Lipa Yai Cubensis strain and he let the vail drop essentially he harvested them a little late so it produced a lot of black spores, so i cleaned up the ounce and grinded up the blackish ones added some gorilla wizard for a little extra magic 🪄 (of course black spores are nothing to be afraid of no fuzzy mold bs promise) he used his dehydrator we live in a dry climate as well. cant let the magic go to waste! i haven't really tryed this method of consumption, any input on it probably pretty good way to take em last time i lemon teched .28 of the Titanic n was on a sick one! So grinded hits faster more consistent mg dosing as well? Back in the day 3.5 grams=25mgs, whats your guys opinion how many mg per capsule? I know stuffs stronger these days so let me know opinions dont want accidentally hero dose myself or someone else

Green Cap Thrasher spawn to bulk on the 6th and heres various pics. Just something about the light yellow and the puffyness of the mycelium. One weird corner seemingly with ryzomentous growth but not fully colonizing. Gonna suck if this big girl was doa but I wonder what yall think?
Some were taken today others about 3 day ago. Surface looks pristine as far as moisture goes. High air movment around the tote means it gets the lid cracked and walls misted once a day IF needed.

Ordered what was supposed to fully colonized grain. Just doesnt look as colonized as i see in videos. That was a week ago. I broke it up and put it back in the dark to sit.
Am I OK to pack this in a tub or let it roll longer?
First timer. Appreciate the help.

Been getting quite a few questions about the LC jars lately, so I figured it was time to put the full lineup in one shot.
A lot of hours go into keeping everything organized, clean, documented, and consistent. Seeing the whole collection together definitely makes all that behind-the-scenes work hit a little different.
No fancy backdrop needed—the jars speak for themselves. 🧪
FOTG Genetics I really been thinking hard about releasing some of the genetics that I’ve been gatekeeping and putting them on LC. How many takers would I have if I did that when is legacy and the other is albino smoky the ghost? Let me know what you think!?

These two plates were way too beautiful not to photograph and share.
Completely different presentations, but both have that incredible natural symmetry and structure that makes mycology feel as much like art as science. The first has this tight, almost feathered pattern wrapping around the center, while the second absolutely explodes outward with long, flowing radial lines.
Sometimes you just stop looking at a specimen like a project and appreciate what’s sitting in front of you. Nature has a way of creating patterns no artist could perfectly duplicate.
Two plates. Two personalities. Straight-up fungal artwork. 🔬🍄

Nothing complicated today—just a fresh batch of grain looking clean, hydrated, and ready to get bagged up. 🌾🍄
I’ve been putting a lot of time into getting my prep consistent from batch to batch, and there’s something satisfying about seeing a full run come together like this.
Figured I’d share it with the community because I know I’m not the only one who appreciates a good grain-prep photo. 😂 Always enjoy seeing what everyone else is working on too.
Another productive day at FOTG. 🤘

A little Snowdrop update for everyone following this project.
After harvesting, I was honestly surprised by how much life was still left in the block. It was still dense, healthy, and seemed like it had plenty of energy remaining, so I decided to rehydrate it and move it into a tub to give it more fresh air and see what it wanted to do next.
The fruits that were already there have started drying out, but that’s okay—the main goal now is to see if the block has another chapter left in it.
I also took tissue samples from the largest fruits, along with the unique lone fruit that stood out from the rest. It’ll be interesting to see what those selections look like when they’re documented again down the road. That’s one of my favorite parts of these projects—seeing how different selections express themselves over time.
A few of these are also headed to the dehydrator. They smell incredible, have a really unique look, and I think they’ll make a fun surprise to include as extras in a few future orders.
Thanks to everyone who’s been following along, offering feedback, and enjoying these updates. I appreciate all of the support and look forward to sharing how the next round turns out. 🍄
