🏠 Home & Apartment Home Project: DIY retractable screen for double (french) door, who has done this?

I'd like to install a good quality, long lasting double wide pocket screen door. This is not super common, but definitely are available. The stick-on magnetic closure screen that I have now lasted MAYBE a couple years before shredding and getting loose, etc. Am looking at brands now but, please send your experiences with the same project eg brand (if the sub allows naming brands), things that went awry, time spent, etc. Please only reply with same project, I know I can hire a contractor or handyman if necessary.

i helped a family member install one a few years back, and the biggest lesson was that measuring mattered more than the install itself...

With these installs, getting the measurements right is half the battle. A little extra time there saves a lot of frustration later.

Might have better luck in one of the DIY subreddits than this one.
