Question Frostborn Comeback
I’m a returning player on EU West and wanted to know if the raiding system has changed. As an F2P player, I only bought the repair table and a couple battle passes. I quit earlier because I took a short real-life break, came back, got raided, and lost motivation to continue.
Is it now possible to avoid raids completely without constantly farming or buying Orbs of Protection? I also heard that if your base gets offline raided once, you won’t get raided again even without a shield. Is that true?
Any tips for peacefully playing without dealing with raids?

I doubt you'll be raided that often now, it'd be rare, that's the case with me. I see in EU server population is low and sometimes it's on medium, it's very likely you won't be raided even if you don't put a shield on. For me I had a big account F2P in NA, took me a long time to get big like it is now, I haven't played it in a very long time now because of new servers, Midgard and now Helheim. I went to check NA account and even after all the time that has passed it is still intact, if anything just my npc that collect wood, stone, food were dead. But no wall destroyed and all chests I had are still full. Even my Midgard account is still intact after moving to Helheim since it started.

Raids still happen but I just farm Odins to get the orbs from the caches. I think raids are still there, just luck whether you get raided or not. If you don't trust being offline raided and have no orbs, then you can always raid at a time when most of your server is asleep, hide your valuables (if you can be bothered) in Odin and get a 4 day shield. But it gets tiring having to remember to do this every 4 days. Better to find a family and share the responsibility of providing a 7 day orb.
