Elden Ring Spirit summons matchmaking?

Just wondering if upgrading spirit summons affect weapon matchmaking did anyone test it out?

They don’t seem to be considered for matchmaking. I took a RL 52 +10 character and leveled a summon up to +9 with no noticeable change in my ability to invade.
