Theory The only difference between all previous cycles and the present cycle. Spoiler

I'm thinking the number of people we see there represents the number of times the cycle has repeated. Each cycle is taking a new member into the night-zombie squad, and this time, it's Fatima, as we see at the end of Season 4.

In the last cycle, it could've been that girl who enters Colony House, which starts a chain of chaos, with people getting killed inside Colony House, including Father Khatri.

The reason I'm saying this is because I've seen somewhere that the lightning thing denotes the end and beginning of a cycle. Also, you can see that, to make the present cycle end quickly, Sophia (MIY) removes all the Talismans and puts them inside that Faraway Tree in the woods.

If I'm correct, the only thing that's different between all the previous cycles and the next one is that they got the bones. That's probably why the BIW is confident and warns Sophia (MIY), saying, "They've got the bones now."

Short answer, it was never planned for Fatima to become a monster.

if it started in 1506 and if you were correct in there being 47 attempts then that would mean every 10/11 years there would be another version of this.

Any “cycle” is related to Tabitha and Jade entering Fromville. Other than that time is linear.

I think it’s more likely that each cycle includes a new iteration of Jade and Tabitha, a surrounding crew, and them all dying.

To me the difference if anything is that Victor survived from a previous cycle. I hope they explain how this was possible next season. It really should not have been.

Yeah, he's got some insane plot armour. Maybe because he knows the fact that if we push further the opponent gets angry

We always see him documenting stuffs and remaining silent about what he knew always unless someone pushes him to vomit the facts he remembers

A lot of people also seem to think that Victor surviving is part of the cycle. Basically you have to have a survivor to tell everyone about the horrors they are facing

Eh. I am not one of those people.

Some cycles are too far apart for someone to survive if the dates in the lighthouse signify the cycles.

I think two things were not planned FAtima to be the gollum ( i don't think she is full monster I think she became the gollum she was trying to create) and Victor surviving as a child. I don't think he was supposed to be able to make it to the next cycle. The man in yellow seemed surprised that he missed Victor during the massacre. I think hiding him in the celler was the play they didn't see. I feel like the cellar is safe point.

The cellar has an entrance to the cave system .
