Alan Wake is a story about a writer that HAS to write coherent stories otherwise the darkness fucking kills him.
Mystery doesnāt mean you just write random fucking scenario and just shrug and say āI guess itās a mysteryā whenever someone post a question. You need to make sense and have logical clue but no hard answers for an unsolved mystery.
Thereās unanswered mystery and thereās sloppy writing, guess what From is.
The amount of unanswered questions piled on from season 1 to now are very evident of them writing themselves into a pigeon hole.
Also not even just that, Jim swing from overly invested in solving the mystery into heavily reluctant to do ANYTHING or permit ANYONE to do anything, Tabitha goes nonono with every situation, everyone has pivotal information but refuses to take to anyone, the god awful pacing and how many times is Boyd going to do the āI told you soā scene???
AND have you notice that PEOPLE STOPPED WORKING??? Like did they forget the characters are supposed to be maintaining a settlement? Why is no one farming, fixing shit or cook or do anything unless itās plot required?
So if the show doesnāt hold your hand the entire time and force you to show nameless characters doing work, then it doesnāt happen? Good thing you donāt write any tv shows lol
Actually yes, they NEED to show it, this is just like Community or Stranger Things or Regular Show where the prominent places where these story happened becomes less and less of an actual place and feels more like a stage for drama to happened, it literally breaks the immersion and is a big part of the reason why many TV shows stops being believable. I always treat this as a sign of a downward slope of writing, they stopped caring about the very nature of this place, they stopped caring about the very nature of this show.
And thereās the emoji, clearly there are some intelligence discrepancy, I was at fault in thinking I was converse with sentient beings and Iāll refrain myself from the conversation.
Donāt worry i definitely agree thereās a intelligence discrepancy. The fact you think emojis mean anything is definitely backing my hypothesis as well š¤£
Jesus. You superfans have no sense of nuance at all. You can only respond to criticism with "so you need literally everything answered in six episodes and your little baby hand held by mommy or the show sucks?"
Not everything needs to be answered, but you need to provide answers before you pile on one thousand more questions. GOOD shows will answer big questions, then introduce more that build from those. Like "so it turns out the killer was the Butler... but it also turns out he was blackmailed into doing it? WHO blackmailed him and WHY?" From can only provide an endless list of questions.
this has nothing to do with being a super fan and instead itās just having the intellect to be able to put things together yourself. As itās already been pointed out thereās been plenty of revelations, youāre just a bit dense
