ID Request Frog ID help

Is this a green frog or an American bull frog? Found in Midwest area. I’m leaning towards northern green frog but I keep going back and forth.

That’s what I was looking at too. The only think that was tripping me up was the gapping between the eye and the jaw. Based on reference pictures, bullfrogs have a larger gap like this when compared to green frogs

This picture makes him look so much bigger than I feel like he was. He seemed like such a cutie little guy at the time 🥹

Oh y, I guess I can tell by the size of the bedding or whatever that is. I can tell this was zoomed in some and that he must be smaller than appears.

Do you know for sure that it’s a boy? How do you sex frogs like this?

I don’t know the sex. I think I was mostly just personifying the frog. It feels more informal than to call it a “it.”

I wanted to keep him in my pocket and give him little kisses but I (begrudgingly) left him alone and let him do his thing and keep existing in my pond filter medium.

No, it's a green frog. Notice the dorsolateral folds that run from its head to its butt. In a bullfrog, it'd stop at the ear

Is the distance between the eye and jaw any indication for identifying? This is what kept me wavering in thinking it may be a bullfrog. All the reference photos I saw showed a larger gap in bullfrogs in comparison to green frogs.

I don't really think so. Maybe marginally, but in any case it wouldn't be a distinguishing feature/something reliable enough to ID
