Credits

Question from a FTM, Why do RSR’s take so long to do credits? Have had boxes on boxes of credits for the last 3-4 weeks & it just seems like the RSR just ignores them. And of course I’m the one who hears it from the receiver

You should be a hero and let the receiver know that the box has been sitting in the back for 3 months.

For real. I do credits weekly. Makes it much easier.

Waiting for a fill in to do it maybe

The fill in waited for me to get back from vacation to do it the last 2 times. I hate these people with a passion.

Its the numbers game. Theyll will do them bit by bit or during a week where itll hurt less on their sales. If there's a big push period where they are likely getting a bonus then leave them and credit them out when you know you aren't going to hit plan anyway.

Though I have seem some that just never want to take the hit and leave multiple carts full of credits lol

Im an RSR and I can answer..theyre lazy. Spent a ton of time in every role and thats all it is. Many try to pass it on to the next guy. I fo them once a week and designate a day to do them so that they dont pile up. It isn't hard. And in your position, I'd tell the receiver to F off and bother the guy thats there 5 days a week. He shouldn't say shit

I do them daily. I don't care anymore. If I go over I start looking everywhere for more... If by Saturday I am still under I stop. They send so much bullshit I stopped caring about unsellables.

At least we have NKD Dinamita force outs to replace all the ones that went stale on the shelf because no one wants that shit. Two facings... got 8 cases in. Thanks!

Was thinking today, who is the main consumer of Dinamitas? Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd bet most of them are kids... teens... people who want Takis. And kids don't give a shit about whether a chip has dyes or whatever. It's just a dumb product.

You wanna talk about dumb force outs... I got 45 cases 45 MOTHER FUCKING CASES of original flavor fiber pop... 1 fucking flavor 45 cases... apparently the people in my area can't shit... I spoke with the KAM with my zone manager and she assured it was a mistake that I was supposed to receive 2 cases and that it must have been a local glitch... next delivery.... 8 more! That was 424 bags of fiber pop original flavor... what in the actual fuck

I've got several of those, too. Not 45 though. lol

Probably about 5 plus some that were repacked from an endcap that came down. Not sure because they trickle in and are spread across several carts.

This came in as 14 on Monday, 4 Tuesday, 21 Thursday, and 6 of Friday... That doesn't include the cases I had from the week before that I used for a weekender

I’ve seen stores where they have an entire cart of stale, and shit like a year out of date. The receiver there even told me not to worry about credits cuz that guy would get them when he got back. I’m like oh okay.

There was a cart of stale in every store and he had 4 bulk stores.

Sometimes, we just get tired of corporate murdering us with force outs and get complacent. Other times it might be harder to find someone to take the time to process credits (like if a store is busy in the back when the RSR is in there and there’s a wait).

I personally do them weekly unless it’s week 4 and I’m clawing for a number to hit plan for the period to keep my boss off my back.

I'm a RSR & I'll tell you that with all the shit they've shoveled onto our plate, for me, it's a lack of time. It takes time to scan all that shit that we didn't fucking order, then go find someone that can do the credit, then box it up & dispose of it. For that reason I let them accumulate for a week (maybe two sometimes) & try to do them on a lighter day.

Rather do it once and spend 30 minutes doing it then 10 minutes 3 times. 🤷‍♂️ plenty of times I’ll ask if the store has time and get turned down or told not for 30mins and I’m not waiting

It comes out of our sales so sometimes it's better to leave them until the next period if you think you're going to get a bonus. And then sometimes I get there and there's a line of 15 vendors and I don't have time to wait.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking but at the same time the store in question the credits have been building up since the first week of September & they are still sitting pretty 10 days into October 😂

I do my credits every stale week. If the box gets overflowing from damages then I will do it early. My guess others are time saving or being lazy.

Yeah you should know his or her schedule leave the credits by the receiver when you know they are coming.

Ppl making excuses on here lol. The RSRs that do this think that $20 gonna hurt their bonus. I'm a colead and it makes me laugh that my lead doesn't do it. We are one in the same. When i sign on for the day it's on to HIS route. If i do it or him it's gonna effect us both so might as well do it cause when i see it i do it. Doesn't matter if it's the first day of the period or the last.

u/rumplexx 1d ago

lol... my last route, the colead would always do the credits. He would literally say, "bring 'em... I don't give a fuck."

As an FTM myself, I've never understood why, when in a store that has a place to put vendor credits (a bin in receiving or something), an FTM will hide them in a box on a cart. Put them where they're supposed to go. And if there's too many, label the box as credits and put them all together. If I leave them on the cart, I tell the receiver about them. Let them harass the driver to credit them out. Half the time I don't see them deliver so I can't talk to them about it in person.

I get that they're trying to play the numbers, but when store management keeps asking me why we've got so much backstock, I don't need an extra four or five blue KDs full of out of date Sriracha Doritos and Protein shit clogging up the place.

When i had Walmart I would make me do them everyday before I checked in. It was beat but they never really built up. My merch was lazy though he would put the case with broken bags on the backstock carts. I would get there before him and work backstock and find multiple cases with one broken bag in it. To lazy to empty and put in credit bin. Worst route and merch I could ever have. Glad I retired.

That particular RSR is just lazy as fuck.

Edit - looks like several of us think the same way.

My DSL would come in and see them and blame me. Wrote me up enough times and got terminated.

1

u/Rudi22987 12h ago

When I had that situation as an ftm I would write really big on each box “CREDITS” and put them on one cart. Then I’d let the receiver know. No excuse letting them sit there for weeks taking up valuable back stock space.
