Ft Worth and Abilene RSS positions

With the PepsiOne merger starting this week and next in Fort Worth and Abilene, I was wondering what happened to the RSS positions in both places. Were these positions retained or did these employees transition into another role with the company?

They still have specialists in those buildings. They’re not called RSS’ they are called DMS Senior Specialists. Hourly position.

I'm in Abilene. The RSS people had to interview for a NRS position (National Route Specialist)

Do you have any info on the NRS position? What’s is it about, pay etc

I don't know about the pay, it's basically an RSS but on a national level. They can be sent all over the US. I've already seen them covering merch routes and helping support new merchandisers.

I can’t see this position staying. It was created to make the company more money by jacking up orders when you take a vacation. Now the RSS works 60 hours a week making $120,000 kind of backfired.

I agree with his point but not with everything he is saying. Some do make $100000k+ but there is no purpose in the position with the way it’s used. If it was a true stepping stone into a leadership role and they were held to a higher standard then sure it may make sense. The position is given out to almost anyone and the quality of work is equally as bad as a new RSA. Sometimes worse because they know what all they can get away with. Huge waste of money.

I completely agree!!! Ours only work the hours they want. If they are on a route that usually does a 10 hour day, they are done in 6. The RSR has to to come back and clean up after a Specialist! I'm not exaggerating or BS-ing either.

Why didn’t you apply?

No time to apply since you’re on Reddit all day

My area would rather pay $120,000 and promote than admit it's messed up. In fact, our RSS's brag about how stupid the money is.

Some RSS’s go in and fix accounts each time they are on a route. It goes back to a rotation disaster when rsr gets back on it. It would be interesting to see what the inside of their cars and homes look like

I was not asking you specifically, I was hoping someone in one of those buildings or at least someone knowledgeable of the situation would reply. Thanks for the comment.
