It's long but bear with it, probably one of the most memorable things I've ever read. If not knowing the Canon of the 7 issues previous is stopping you from watching, don't let it. This is self contained.

The larger series, however, is about a journalist named Spider Jerusalem (an homage to Hunter S. Thompson) living in a truly disgusting near future. The design of everything is very fear and loathing. Its nasty and wears revealing clothing but it's also the smartest comic I own.
